[SEOUL, October 8, 2026] T car, LOTTE rental's used-car retail brand, announced on the 6th that it is holding a nationwide short-form video contest to mark the opening of its Busan Sales Center.
The contest theme is a promotional video for the opening of T car's Busan Sales Center. Entries can be short-form videos under one minute, either filmed on-site at the Busan Sales Center or created using generative AI tools. Both individuals and teams may participate. The contest runs through October 31. To enter, participants upload their video to their personal Instagram account, tag LOTTE rent-a-car's official account (@lotte_rentacar), and include the required hashtags.
LOTTE rental will select six winning entries and award prize money as follows: 1st place (1 winner), 1 million won; 2nd place (2 winners), 500,000 won each; and 3rd place (3 winners), 300,000 won each. An additional 50 participants will each receive 10,000 won in Naver Pay points. Winners will be announced in November through T car's official social media posts and individual direct messages. Submitted entries may be used as T car promotional videos. Because entries created using generative AI tools are also eligible, the contest is accessible even to those with no prior video production experience.
A companion "spread the word" event is also underway. Anyone who shares the contest announcement post by October 28 will be entered into a drawing for 10,000 won in Naver Pay points, with 50 winners selected. Winners will be announced in November.
The contest was designed to promote the Busan Sales Center — opened as part of T car's effort to expand regional locations and improve customer accessibility — and to broaden its reach among local customers. Further details on the contest are available on the T car website (https://tcar.lotterentacar.net/).
LOTTE rental opened T car's fourth sales center in Nam-gu, Busan, this past August. It is the brand's fourth physical location, following locations in Gayang-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul; Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province; and Yongin, Gyeonggi Province — and its first location outside the greater Seoul metropolitan area.
T car has secured space for 350 vehicles within the Busan Gamman Auto Trading Complex, making it the largest operation in the complex.
The center also houses dedicated maintenance infrastructure for T car vehicles, featuring a one-stop system that handles everything from legally required performance inspections to reconditioning, purchase, and delivery in a single location — shortening the process once a vehicle arrives at the center.
LOTTE rental officially launched its used-car retail brand T car in May of last year. The brand's core values are Trust (dependable used cars) and Total care (cars cared for from start to finish). T car aims to build greater trust in used-car transactions and offer a differentiated purchasing experience by providing vehicle management services even after purchase.
A key feature of T car is that it sources its inventory primarily from long-term rental vehicles previously used by corporate executives and managers, excluding short-term rental vehicles that have been used by multiple customers. Because LOTTE rent-a-car purchases the vehicles new and has them maintained by vehicle management specialists every two to three months thereafter, customers can purchase with confidence. Each vehicle's history — including legally required performance inspection records, insurance history, and maintenance history since it left the factory — is disclosed transparently.
T car's core inventory consists of popular Hyundai and Kia models that are three to four years old or newer — the age range most preferred by consumers. T car is the first in the industry to offer a six-month free warranty on repairs for core components such as the engine, transmission, and brakes — double the industry-standard three-month free warranty, reflecting confidence in vehicle quality. T car has also introduced a seven-day money-back guarantee, allowing customers to test-drive a vehicle before finalizing their purchase.
Customers who purchase through T car also receive ongoing vehicle management (Total care) services. This includes Chabangjeong and Chabangjeong Plus membership services, which are provided free of charge and include one year of on-site inspections and engine oil changes. The Chabangjeong Plus membership, available for a monthly subscription fee of 3,000 won, provides benefits worth 30,000 won, helping customers save on costs such as fuel, car washes, and parking.
A LOTTE rent-a-car official stated, "We created this contest so customers can experience T car in a more approachable way as we open our Busan Sales Center." The official added, "We look forward to seeing the creative ideas captured in everyone's videos." <END> |
